Project H.O.P.E. Awards
There are two main awards that we at Project H.O.P.E. are currently awarding at this time. The Garry McKinnon Champion of Children Award which is given out bi-annually to a person in our community that has shown a great love and enthusiasm for helping children with exceptionalities within the Wheatland Community. These people may give their time, money or any other resources that are needed to help these special students grow and thrive in our community.
The second is a new award as of the 2024 school year called the Student of the Month Award. It is award to students that access Project H.O.P.E. therapies who show a criteria of exemplary traits, often around social goals that will help them further their lives in the world inside and outside of school time. This is an award to help our students show off the skills they have learned through Project H.O.P.E. in sometimes difficult and challenging situations.
